It’s designed that way for passagemaking i think, so you don’t fall off the bed. We bought her in Antigua and have already done a significant amount of work to help bring her back to life. She’s coming along very nicely!

We just finished sailing from Key West, FL to Isla Mujeres, Mexico on our friend’s 1989 Hylas 47! It is a beautiful boat and we loved how it handled the water!
