having had 4 children…only 1 was drug free. and only 1 went according to plan. having done both drug and natural…bring on the drugs. i heard a doctor once say…childbirth is the ONLY thing that if someone comes into hospital with that drugs are option. everything else the desired outcome is to reduce pain and discomfort- so its not a natural thing to want to see someone suffer and due to so many things that can go wrong they want the least stressful situation possible. im sorry things didnt go according to plan, but as the others have said beautiful healthy baby / mom = all good. :) congrats on your new addition!!!!

Wow what a beautiful story. Its very similar to ours in a way. We had a birthplan, no training students, no epidural, no c section. All of that went out of the window during the birth and when the dr told my wife “we need to do a c section your baby is in distress” we couldn’t do anything but cry. But 10 minutes later we were holding our baby girl. I know you didn’t follow your birth plan but It still had such a big purpose in your pregnancy. I’m happy everything worked out an your boy is happy and healthy!!

Jody, I had three drug free births, Thus said, none of them went to plan- and 2 of three had complications. I know you are disappointed, but the main thing is you are both healthy. Congrats on your new crew member!! Brig is a beautiful baby! Carla SV Mahi

Congrats on that beautiful new baby! As you will find, all of our well-oil finely refined plans tend to change when it comes to having a baby. GOD’s design pretty much takes over and the baby comes when all is ready. Peter will be ready the next time to ensure they don’t “rush you” like they did this time. Sometimes the husband has to take charge for the wife while she’s somewhat busy doing something so much more important! . Anyway, we’re glad the delivery went well (it could’ve been worse – labor pains on-the-boat before you left) and that you both now get to enjoy that wonderful bundle of joy! May GOD richly bless you both … the adventure is just beginning!
