Big smiles to you and Peter!! Hugs, Lori

We have the same model as you. We also think the company is awesome because of the tools they make available on their website for free. They have videos for just about every project you can imagine. At the end of each is a list of materials they used with stock numbers. They even have an area that helps calculate the amount of material needed for a project to minimize guesswork and waste. This company is a prime example of excellent customer service and web based training. The machines are built like tanks. This is our second machine. The previous one lasted over 20 years (we got it used in a trade).

They are also able to handle lighter fabrics as well and can take smaller needles for various materials. Very easy to use and operates very smoothly. I only have great things to say about the LSZ-1, which is a must for the zig-zag feature on sail repair jobs. Hope that helps!

I have a 20 year old Bernina that has been my reliable workhorse~ I see linen, cotton, home dec fabric and velvets, not real heavy canvas~ do you think the Sailrite would fit my needs? I’ve considered the Sailrite for its ability to sew heavier fabrics~ thanks!
